2019 Accomplishments And What’s Next

2019 is long gone but we’re happy to look back and see how much we evolved in the last twelve months: from new projects to an on-growing team, a lot has been changing, so let’s quickly review our year together.

Exaud Team

Not only were we able to work on rewarding projects, the Exaud team has been growing as well. A bigger team means new challenges when it comes to management and keeping everyone excited.
People operations have to be more effective and appealing, that’s why we’ve been working harder than ever on our company culture – we’re implementing more team activities, monthly workshops where everyone can share their ideas and knowledge, as well as training sessions.
Having fun as a team and providing the well-deserved space and time to learn and implement new skills, are part of what it takes to make someone grow as a developer.

Workshops:

This initiative takes place once a month and aims to make everyone lean over a topic, either it’s something they’re already familiar with and would like to know more about, or something entirely new. We’re able to discuss programming languages, new trends, case studies and academic works.

Training Sessions:

Keeping your team motivated is not always an easy task but we’re firm believers that training is one well rounded solution to keep their spirits high when it comes to learning new skills, develop personal projects and challenging themselves.

Team Activities:

Our kart race was a success and we’re already planning our next year’s team building activities.
Besides, December marks our yearly Christmas dinner and this year, we counted with our community support to collect cat food and hygiene products to donate to one of our colleague’s family animal shelter!

Pizza Day:

We found the most delicious solution to make everyone attend our weekly stand ups: pizza! There’s a post about it here.

Events:

Every year has its share of events, of course.
droidcon made its premiere in Portugal, with droidcon Lisbon and as usual, we wouldn’t miss our yearly trip to London, to droidconUK, a must attend to every android developer.

Blog

During 2019, we managed to keep up with what has been a company strategy since the beginning: get your attention by sharing our team’s insights and latest IT news.

Partnerships

Celebrating this year’s milestones and accomplishments can’t be done without some appreciation words to our partners, such as SDP, with whom we’ve been working to take in-vehicle infotainment solutions to the next level.

What’s the state of our ‘agenda’

2020 will be starting with a trip to CES in Las Vegas – we’re talking about the biggest and most popular event for businesses dedicated to consumer technologies.
