What would a Software Developer ask Santa for Christmas?
As a software developer, what out of the box request would you make to Santa Claus? No more bugs? Posted onby ExaudIf you ever believed in Santa as a kid, you probably made some special requests to the North Pole local. It was probably the old game boy color you got on a Christmas day that inspired you to learn how videogames are actually made, or maybe the gigantic computer you shared with siblings that allowed you to write your first lines of code.
Now that you’re all grown up and probably considering tossing your laptop out of the window due to ‘that bug’, what would you like to ask Santa in order to make your developer life better? And we’re talking about real Santa here, so there are no limits to your imagination! Here, let our team enlighten you by sharing some of their Christmassy requests:
‘I would like to ask Santa to make Google stop using interns on the main development of Android.’ – Nuno Aguiar, Android Developer
‘Bootcamp on Apple Silicon, or ar least some sort of MSW: MacOS Subsystem for Windows’ – Tiago Borba, Head of IoT
‘A rubber ducky clever bot to enlighten my programming dilemmas. And a smoked ham!’- Gonçalo de Jesus, Software Developer
‘Santa, please get me a version of Unity that actually works on Linux. Plus the love and approval of my team leader ❤️.’ – Francisco Leites, Junior Software Developer
‘My wish for Santa is that every graphical interface should be dark themed by default. 🙏 Our eyes would have, ironically, a brighter future.’ – Gabriel Afonso, Junior Software Developer
‘QA here! This Christmas, I would like to have a Time-Turner so that I could have more time to test everything. 🥲’ – Daniel Paiva, QA
