Introducing Our Team – Meet João Meireles

Say ‘hi’ to João: one of our team’s junior developers with a taste for music, sitcoms and Japanese animation!

Tell us a bit about you and how you become a developer?

Since I was young, I had a special connection with computers, either software or hardware. This is because my father was also a technology lover and he passed that passion on to me. I can say that’s the reason why I chose to become a developer.

What previous experience do you have that is important to your work at Exaud?

Before joining Exaud, I was fortunate enough to work for one of my college professor’s company. That experience taught me a lot about the IT-business and being my first work experience, I definitely learned to handle daily work problems properly.

Which of your strengths is the greatest?

I’d say it’s endurance. Throughout my life I had complicated moments, like everyone else, and I never gave up on my goals. This also applies to my job, I’m only able to chill when I know how to do a certain thing that needs to be done or if there’s a problem, I won’t stop until it’s solved.

What do you do when you are outside Exaud?

I like to play video games with my friends, especially competitive games like Cs Go, watch anime and go to the gym.

What app can you not believe someone hasn’t made yet?

Normally I ask this question to myself when something new comes out.

What’s the funniest TV show you’ve ever seen?

The Big Bang Theory because it reminds me of my group of friends.

What is something you think everyone should do at least once in their lives?

Learn how to play an instrument. It’s relaxing and develops the brain. I’m a drummer and when I play with my band, nothing feels as good as when the music sounds awesome and comes out well!
