In this post we will discuss how it works and how you can use ChatGPT in your personal life and work projects.

So, what is ChatGPT?

I’m sure we’ve all heard about ChatGPT. Be it from students using it to complete assignments, to programmers that use this AI tool to have it solve coding problems or writers and marketeers to create blog posts, articles and landing pages.

All in all, ChatGPT can be described as a language model chatbot developed by OpenAI that uses artificial intelligence to generate replies to text prompts. The brilliance of this AI tool is in how responses appear surprisingly natural and human. It uses deep learning algorithms to train itself on a huge collection of text data. As of yet it doesn’t have access to online sources but we might soon see its integration with Bing, the Microsoft search engine.

What is ChatPT Used For?

You can use ChatGPT for a multitude of applications, all of them through text interaction, of course. Use it to help research on assignments, have a nice chat, get help debugging code or just make it program a solution for you entirely. Personally, I’ve even used it to help me figure out meals and workout plans nicely structured into a table that I could copy onto Microsoft Word.

Beware! – What Are The Issues Using This Tool?

As amazing as it sounds it does come with problems – AI tools are not flawless! There have been a multitude of issues found with its replies. Some of the answers generated have been found to provide false information or to be biased on the information it was trained on, which creates the possibility for the spread of misinformation – it’s no replacement for human interaction or verified sources of information.

There’s also the possibility, through workarounds, to use ChatGPT for malicious purposes, such as generating phishing emails or even malicious software. Lastly, as with most technologies there is the concern for privacy since ChatGPT can be used for data analysis and the interaction of personal information.

ChatGPT reached over 100 million users two months after launch. If you want to learn more about this AI chatbot, you can read the official blog post or you can give it a try on your own now here.
