4YFN Booth
Having a booth at 4YFN – MWC allows us to reach a large number of customers, potential partners and investors, and also students, who are curious about our work.
There were more than 19. 000 attendees and 650 start-ups present in Fira Montjuic – Barcelona. We’d like to thank everyone we’ve met during these days for interesting meetings and chats.
Mentoring Sessions
During the event, Exaud was invited to participate in some mentoring sessions. These sessions were organized with the purpose of giving one-to-one advice and practical information to start-ups.
There were different such as Fundraising, Business-Strategy, Engagement-Marketing and International Growth. These sessions were mentored by high qualified people like Lawton Smith, WW Segment Manager, Business Strategy & Operations HP and Paul Kemps, Managing Director from Wicet bvba.
Private Meeting organized by Dentons
On the first day of MWC, Exaud was invited to participate in a private event organized by Dentons, a global law firm, during which we did a special visit to the Picasso Museum.
This gathering happens for the last for 5 years, during MWC, and the main purpose is to connect big companies with start-ups. This allowed us to chat with different companies, from different fields and exchange experiences. We would like to thanks Denton for this opportunity.
MWC – Mobile news for 2018
Our last day at MWC was spent in Fira Barcelona, where the big companies launched their newest mobile tech. We were really excited to see and catch up all the news and digital stuff.
Brands like Samsung, Nokia, Asus, Lenovo were all there. In total, “more than 2,400 companies showcased cutting-edge products and services across 120,000 net square metres of exhibition and hospitality space at Fira Gran Via.”
The new Samsung Galaxy, Asus ZenFone 5Z, Huawei MateBook X Pro, Waverly Labs Pilot – a voice translating Bluetooth earphones, were some of the newest techs that were announced on MWC.
5G is Happening
We couldn’t not mention the most talked issue during MWC – 5G. We could breathe 5G at MWC and its benefits: greater speed, lower latency, and the ability to connect a lot more devices at once.
Intel, for example, hopes to be the largest commercial 5G deployment in 2020. “The company announced that it’ll be working with Japan’s NTT Docomo to build a 5G network for the games”.
A 5 G connected car, was also showcased, as well as simulations of virtual cities. In these cities everything is connected, as they almost could think for themselves.
During Mobile World Congress 2018 we could feel that 5 G is really near us and that is happening sooner than we think.
